Most anybody who gives a Hewlett-Packard office machine a chance, particularly when looking at the HP LaserJet 3380 printer using HP LaserJet 3380 toner in its entirety, invariably walks away pleased with the results. This particular office machine is classified as an all-in-one, meaning that it not only prints, but also faxes, copies and scans documents. This ultimately will really save the home office or small business a lot of money over the long run.
The 3380 printer has been rated by most experts as being easy to use. It comes with a wide variety of helpful features and characteristics and it is relatively inexpensive to run and maintain. Additionally, print quality is good across the board and any business that doesn’t require color printing will be sure to be please with all that it can do.
As was said, this is a monochrome laser jet printer and it’s formally known as a digital copier when used in that configuration. In other words, it prints out using laser jet technology, but copies using digital formats. It has a more than acceptable printing speed of 20 pages per minute, which is excellent for an all-in-one office machine, no matter the manufacturer or brand.
The 3380 delivers 1,200 dpi print resolution capability and it can be connected to a PC by its standard parallel or high-speed USB port. It is also able to connect with most Windows operating systems as well as Mac, Linux and UNIX platforms. For business running on Windows NT, there’ll be no need to look for separate printers, because this one runs on that platform as well.
The duty cycle when it acts as a copier is set at 10,000 impressions, which should be more than enough to accommodate the needs of most small office/home office (SOHO) businesses. When the 3380 works as a scanner, expect it to be able to scan a document at 600 x 600 dpi with color depth set at 24-bit and black-and-white depth at 8-bit. Both are more than acceptable criteria for any scanner.
The 3380 also acts as a fax machine and comes supplied with a standard 33.6 kb per second internal modem. It can hold a total of 250 pages within its memory and can also print out received faxes at about 20 pages per minute. It has the capability to send out faxes received from the personal computer it’s hooked up to as well, which only adds to this particular Hewlett-Packard’s versatility.
The 3380 holds up to 250 sheets of paper within its tray and it can print out on a large number of different media types. There is a 10 sheet bypass feeder and the output tray can hold up to 125 sheets of product. All of these features combine to give to the small office or home office-based business a very nice all-in-one office machine.
There are a great many positive attributes that the HP LaserJet 3380 printer brings to the table. It seems able to perform well, not only as a printer but also as a copier, fax machine or scanner. It currently lists for around $500, but some discount outlets are selling it for under $300. Also, used and refurbished machines are going for his little as $150. Given all of its capabilities, there really doesn’t seem to be too much to quibble about when it comes to the this HP printer.
You’ll also like the HP LaserJet 3380 toner, if you like crisp, clean prints, that is. The level at which HP printer toner performs is well known. What you might not know is how low printer toner can be online.
