3G Apple iPhone - the New Hit on the Market

CEO of AT&T Randall Stephenson announced that Apple is launching a new iPhone next year. This is called the 3G. This gives the smart phone the new capability of having a very high rate in connecting to the Internet compared to its first models. This makes downloads a lot faster.

Bloomberg.com reported that Stephenson announced in a meeting that the g3 iphone will be launched to the market next year according to his own words saying “You’ll have it next year”.

The next generation of product that AT&T would produce has not got a certain price according to Randall. The CEO of the Apple, Steve Jobs said that “we’ll be the one to tell how much it is”.

The Apple iphone can connect through any AT&T WiFi hotspots with speeds ranging from 70 Kbps until 135 Kbps of downstream and upstream rates. Also capable of connecting thorough 3g technology on particular areas mostly located in the metro with upstream and downstream rates of 600 Kbps or 1.5Mbps depending on the speed plan.

There was hesitation at start whether to move from the EDGE system to 3G technology since there was a widespread rumor and belief that #g chips would decrease the Apple iPhone’s battery span by September.

“We are looking forward to upgrading the 3G battery packs to last for five hours and we are expecting to see the results by next year.” He said.
