3d Movies – The exciting world of 3D TV

What’s next for the fast moving 3D market?
3D is an exciting new feature for the home theater market. For some dramatic pictures or soap operas, 3D might seem out of whack. Except But for sports, action movies, etc. 3D makes as much difference as color vs.
3D Videos
black and white. And the new 3D technology is superior to the 3D system that has been employed in theaters. Disney, Universal, Philips, Samsung, Sony, Thomson and IMAX are at present exploring the potential 3D HDTV market. Disney asserted it would begin making all its computer-animated films in 3D. All of this content should be available to the home theater market. The actual question : will the 3D market be pervasive adequate for major networks, particularly the sports subset, to send out in 3D? 3D Distribution It will likely be the Sky TV firms like DirecTV and Dish Network that distribute 3D versions of HDTV programming first.

3D flicks should take about the same bandwidth as other 120 fps [ frame per second ] high def pictures.

The satellite firms have enough broadcast bandwidth to support niche markets [ the cable companies don't ], and for the moment, 3D HDTV is a targeted market.

“Satellite’s going to be constrained not so much by how many channels they can carry than by how many they can get,” declared Bob Scherman, Satellite Business Reports . By 2010, it is projected that 60% of TV receivers in the United States will employ a satellite signal, up from 15% in 2002.

3D HDTV Home Theater Systems Because of the high frame rate for 3D, and the requirement for synchronization, LCD screens are often incompatible with sophisticated 3D. However, prototypes by Phillips have been demonstrated at upwards of $20,000, and this technology does not need glasses. The Phillips technology is optically very advanced. Unlike electronics, it can’t be assumed that the price will come down. By the end of the present year [ 2008 ], more than 1,000,000 3D prepared DLP HDTVs, made by Mitsubishi and Samsung, will have been sold in the U.S.
3-D Glasses
The technology functions by supplying a sixty Hz signal to each eye [ identical to 120 Hz total ]. Some source material is available for download, and Blu-Ray 3D discs are becoming available. The Glasses: Field Sequential 3D Special glasses are used with the DLP 3D system. The system is named “Field Sequential 3D” or HQFS [ prime Quality Field Sequential ]. The effect is certainly superior.

Our eyes see a marginally offset view of a scene. The two slightly different views are mixed by the brain to result in our ability to see in 3D. Field Sequential 3D simulates this experience with shutter glasses.
3D Glasses
The shutter is not mechanical, but instead an LCD filter, that blocks vision when the opposite eye’s view is shown. If we employ a TV with a total of sixty Hz refresh rate, it might supply only 30 total info for each eye, and that refresh rate would be plain [ flicker ]. When conceptualizing a 3D system with previous 3D systems, we’ve the choice of either sending 2 equal bandwidth signals with full info, effectively doubling the signal bandwidth, or sending the signal such that either the horizontal or vertical resolution is halved, one half for each eye. Doubling the bandwidth would be a difficulty since the doubling the signal bandwidth capacity is already at a such that either Using the same bandwidth as non-3D material means that we will implement the technology with current HDMI or DVI interfaces.

Watching Journey to the Center of the Earth – 3D Movie on DVD and Blu-Ray with 3D Glasses
3D theater experience made Journey to the Center of the Earth fun Do the glasses hurt more than they help. Is the effect similar to what you saw in the movie theater? As the sheer volume of 3 dimensional theatrical releases increases these questions will be ever more present on consumers minds.
Plastic 3D Glasses
Journey to the Center of the Earth is a family thrill ride through the precarious center of the earth, where man-eating creatures and dangerous terrain threaten the lives of teenager Sean, his uncle Trevor, and their mountain guide, Hannah. Having the 3D monsters jump off the screen at you made this movie awesome to see in the theaters. The 3D affects made this movie so much better.
3D Glasses

3D effects come at some expense of the film quality Colors aren’t as bright, and portions of the film might not have the greatest resolution. You may buy a much better set of 3D glasses that were designed for viewing this film which will give a much sharper image than the stock glasses which come along with the film.

This film is simply far superior in 3D even though the DVD features both the 3D and the regular versions of the movie with the 3D glasses. (presuming you can cope with wearing 3D glasses and that the film functions effectively with your type of home theater system). One tip for getting the best picture quality for a 3D movie at home: watch it in Blu-ray if you can, especially if you have a large TV, as the resolution will not look as good with just a regular DVD. As more kids and family movies become available in 3D, we will explore further tips for getting the best possible quality, so that the family can hopefully enjoy the movie at home just as much as they did in the theater.

“The holidays around the corner and most of you must be preparing for the Christmas. Though the economy is down when it comes to celebrate Christmas everyone are happy to spend money. This year some of the readers of The Tech Post decided to get new HDTV and asked for the LCD HDTV reviews. Few of them wanted to buy the TV as a Christmas gift for their loved ones while others wants to purchase a HDTV to watch all the Christmas celebrations in style. We have checked various sources both online and offline to find out honest opinion about HDTV models available in market.
