Think back a couple of years… 21-inch monitors cost a minimum of $1000, and if you wanted a larger size or a flat-screen LCD, you couldn’t find anything for less than two grand. My, how times have changed! LCD monitors are bigger, brighter, and better than ever before, with many sporting additional features (such as built-in USB ports), that offer additional convenience as well as an attractive, easy-on-the-eyes display.
Today, getting a flat screen LCD is a given, with 17 or 19-inch offered as standard equipment with any computer system purchase.
Even better, the large- and wide-screen LCD monitors have dropped drastically in price during the last 12 months. It is now easy to find a 22-inch LCD monitor for around $300.
Of course, it’s still possible to drop over $2000 for a bright, sharp, high-quality monitor with lots of bells and whistles, but it’s no longer necessary. Today, anyone can afford a widescreen LCD monitor — and when you look at all the benefits — everyone should think seriously about upgrading.
